I saw an Australian patient yesterday. Ended up charging him £95 for consultation and private script as it was not immediately necessary. He didn't even bat an eyelid and after I apologised for having to charge him (it felt so wrong to me), he proceeded to tell me that he was happy to pay for the diligent service I had given him and that was the price to pay for being seen by a for thought
