Hunt promises junior doctors 11% pay rise

Stupidly out of touch with reality. There is already a junior doctor shortage, and far more than 1% of people working over the average of 48 hours. I don't believe for an instant that this will reduce hours or make life easier. And this stupefying suggestion that there are financial incentives for working beyond a 48 hour week??? It's called a rota. You don't pick your own, you do what is set by the hospital, and you get paid accordingly. There is no incentive at all because there is no choice. And that's how they're going to get you. The people working longest hours will lose out, so they remove safeguards, people work longer, and suddenly that 1% who are losing out becomes a lot larger. What does this man think?? That we believe he's doing this for doctor's benefit?? We know there's an agenda so he can't be trusted.
