Weight loss and exercise referral services axed in further public health cuts


The real scandal is that any NHS money was spent on this in the first place. Non-evidence based, somebody else's money, must do something, wishful thinking woo. Of course lifestyle change works to prevent disease, but six sessions with a "health trainer" and a chat about diet is about as likely to change those who even bother to turn up after the first two sessions, as wearing yellow wristbands is at preventing cancer.
