How private GP services are expanding


Thank you , Peter, for clarification . Reality has arrived. If the government does not want to preserve NHS general practice , the pendulum will swing to the right side as traditional GP partnership (self employed model) is , by default , a product of centre ground politics . As the centre ground is vanishing at many levels , you either have completely commercialised models like these if patient can pay one way or the other (medical insurance will blossom from this as well ) OR a deliberately well starved , allowed to wither and increasingly unsafe government funded GP service for the people who cannot afford . You probably understand why I advocate routine weekend NHS GP appointments coming with a patient fee if this government insists 7 days GP opening. We are only the toy soldiers in the system and it is totally understandable for our GP colleagues , old and young , to choose a job with a better financial return . The government has any answer to this ? I guess not because they have actually achieved what they set out to do......
