BMA suggests GPs should receive a 2% pay rise next year

A 2% rise might be reasonable if workload were stable and unchanging, but this doesn't come close to compensating for the dramatic rise in workload year on year. GP remuneration MUST be adjusted to take consultation rates into account, and these have risen by 50% over 10 years while funding has been cut in real terms
