GPC to seek change to firearms licensing procedure following GP outrage

Comment

Thanks for the insight Paul! However, I can't take GPC seriously anymore. It has no negotiating power or tacics. It completely misread the mood of the GP community. It's chair has accepted rewards given out by the government. The rhetoric is "if it wasn't for us, it could have been worse". This whole mess just shows GPC isn't serving it's purpose. It may have been unilateral but why was it no escalated to fight against it. If the BMA wanted to do so, it could have started a public campaign and I suspect we would have won public support. Afterall which would the majority prefer - for the public to have less of GP time so that the gun holding community can have it's license for free and be certified by an untrained person???
