NHS Health Checks have prevented 8,400 heart attacks and strokes, claims study

(1) Believe in Butterfly Effect: if you noticed a health problem before you can 'feel' , the outcome(s) may be different , better or worse . So , neutral feeling towards this type of health checks (2) Right thing to be done at right time : carpet screening can only be more superior than opportunistic one if the strong evidences are there : Wilson Criteria for screening ; objective evidence of good sensitivity and specificity . This is a medical common sense in a system like NHS,especially in a time when resources are stifled.(yes , we get a fee for health checks but far more resources had been restricted in our every day work otherwise ) (3) And once again : resources mean money , expertise , manpower and time . One for all , all for one.
