GP receives cross-party support in bid to unseat Jeremy Hunt as MP

Comment

Even if JH was unseated it would make very little difference to us. PM would just install another mouthpiece. There are many MPs waiting in the wings to do the dirty work. It all boils down to the fact that healthcare is becoming unaffordable. We all know that other countries are spending a larger proportion of GDP on healthcare, but they too are looking to implement the same austerity measures. So far they are a little behind us. From a Treasury point of view the only bit of health care that makes economic sense is making sure that people are well enough to work and earn GDP for the country, and that in itself should be done as cheaply as possible. UK plc is being run as a business.
