Education bosses consider 'scenario' of 1,000 GP shortfall by 2022

Lets take GP training money away - so they can use it to hire and pay for non doctors instead. Lets gut the practices and partnerships and start APMS contracts no one has the ability to win now unless you are a private entity, and loose the things that made GPs be GPs. Lets force them to do more meetings and paperwork, jump through hoops of CQC and revalidation. Lets hound them with complaints and patients demands fuelled by increased expectations. Lets take away financial rewards to stay longer like seniority and ramp up indemnity costs and pension costs, forcing people to retire early or face a huge financial penalty. Sounds like every effort is being made to keep them in, just needs a cherry to attract new doctors - lets make a GP parachuting video, because that happens every day!
