In praise of 'negative' thinking

Comment

Underneath the positive/negative overlay exists reality. If GPs weren't adept at identifying what constitutes reality they'd be quickly exposed and considered pretty useless. I'd bet there are plenty of professions in which it's entirely possible to spend an entire career completely divorced from reality and still do fairly well. That ain't possible working in general practice. The question is..how close to reality are you? ..there's no law that states reality is always good, always bad or indeed always neutral. I'd suggest, currently, the reality of primary care is fairly bad...and from this arises the suggestion folk are being negative. Not so ..just honest.
