Students at new medical school to be 'embedded in GP practice' for five years

‘the worst in the country for the number of GPs under the age of 35’. Come on kids sign up, what amazing training opportunities. You can do your own surgeries after Fresher's Week and everything… (no supervision mind you as those few GPs left will be fighting just to get through the day. No one will have time to train 5 yrs of med students.) Exposing them to GP for 5 years surely will put off those few mad enough to be considering the career at the end of training with minimal exposure. No-one will end up in GP if they actually see what it is really like. Or maybe that is the next part of the grand plan…..
