GPs reject out-of-hours work due to 'exhaustion', finds BMA survey

OOH is the canary in the coal mine. It is failing badly over much of the country. We get a poor service locally but there is only one provider coming forward for the contract so they have our CCG over a barrel. They have a worrying number of unfilled GP sessions yet the CCG is still paying as if all the slots are filled. They offer about £89 a session but the enhanced access pilots locally are offering £160 so further undermining them. This is a crisis and no one seems to be taking it seriously.
