CCGs to quit funding GP referrals to hip arthroscopy

Comment

True, GPs don't refer for hip arhtorscopies. Infact, in Medway a Gp can't refer to an Orthopaedic surgeon, Rheumatologist, Pain Consultant or Physio either. All he can do is refer to a MSK Triage service run by a private provider who cashes a certain unspecified amount for having the referral assessed by a Clerk? to the most suited service. This article is a no no:)
