BMA: GPs should send over-65s to pharmacies if unable to source new flu jab

Pharmacies have plenty of trivalent vaccine. GP's are rationed and deliveries 'staggered' to allow pharmacy chains to profit Big pharmacy chains ordering in bulk get the first batch of supplies, buy at huge discount, and then given a big fee for giving without having any of the expense of contacting patient or bearing any responsibility for them receiving jab. NHS should have ensured that Primary Care gets jabs before pharmacy chains. Independent contractors are going to be left with a lot of vaccine on their hands when /if it finally comes in November. What a stitch-up! Follow the money to see why this has happened. Will be interesting to see how Babylon give their vaccinations. Oh, of course, they dont take on anyone in a risk group: no pregnant women, no kids, no sick people, no housebound, no care homes.
