GP practices and pharmacies told to 'swap stocks' amid flu vaccine supply issues

You see The typical story of the subject being given the most prior attention ( in this case , the adjuvanted trivalent vaccine, aTIV) probably ending up alright , while the main subject (in this case , the quadrivalent vaccine , QIV) will be compromised. The comptence to organise, co-ordinate and sanction , as far as NHSE is concerned , is questionable( once again). Give the benefit of doubt about its forthcoming guidance. But the caveat is always creating more confusion on one hand and also widen the dispute and rivalry between GP practices and pharmacies. The evidence of that is well established from previous flu campaigns in last few years . I still have many patients who were vaccinated in pharmacies with no notification to my practice from last year , for instance . Clearly , the whole concept as logistics of flu campaign needs to be returned to the drawing board . DHSC, NHSE and PHE need to put their acts together ( I mean , really together ) . Some changes in legislation may even need to be necessary ?๐Ÿ˜‘๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿค”
