Lest we forget, health policy should be evidence based

Being evidence based means listening to experts but the whole current narrative, in society, is that experts are bad and that the ‘lived experience’ has more validity than the population based evidence from well constructed trials. Further, when has government ever listened to ‘evidence’ when it means making an unpopular decision?
