Dispensing GPs are more likely to prescribe higher cost drugs, finds study

NHS have been told this, and the answer to it, before! Dispensing surgery staff must be allowed to amend generic prescriptions for higher-cost brands if that is all that is available, just like community Pharmacies can, without recourse back to the GP to get the prescription changed. And it would help if generics manufacturers were forced to obey the rules, and make drugs available in correct quantity packages, just like th elaw already states.
