NHS England launches voluntary standards to help GPs support carers

as they are voluntary and unfunded - no thanks - having worked over 10 hours yesterday on an 8 hour contract, no payment for overtime, seeing emergencies you are living in cloud cuckoo land. i don't even have my own regular consulting room let alone space for support meetings. I trained to deal with people who are sick with a medical disease. this is social care not medical care, if they are well why am i doing a medical? no evidence doing medicals actually makes any difference to anyone's health. Why not pay more funds into social care so that the patients have funding to pay actual adults in a job to look after them so the kids don't have to. total and utter lunacy. Its dumped on GPs because we are free at the point of service and because we don't strike. And you wonder why we are all leaving early.
