New Government proposals set to give GPs greater control over their pensions

Sounds hideously complex. As a full time self employed locum I'm just glad i opted out several years ago. Could anyone state with hand on heart that they genuinely trust any government over the long term with their pension? I certainly don't. Today's proposal is tomorrow's binned idea, only to be changed yet again when the next bunch of jokers takes over. Pensions are a long term bet. A SIPP (or similar) is the only sensible option in my mind even if on paper it's supposedly crap in comparison - at least i know where it is, how much is there and there's more than just a few politically disposable Drs paying into one. Any small pot i originally paid into in my early years is supposed to be there before they started mucking around. Screw the government- they are just a bunch of shisters which ever 'party' they happen to be in
