if you get it wrong after you have seen, and examined the patient, then you have a fighting chance of wriggling out of it. if you get it wrong when you haven't seen or examined them, but relied solely on what information you've been given (often by a third party), then you haven't got a prayer. a well paid, greedy barrister is going to eat you for breakfast, while you are sitting there wondering "why didn't i invest 5 minutes of my time to avoid this". i agree you are likely to waste a lot of 5 minute periods - but look upon it as an investment that will pay off in the long run !!
