Right way to explore that missed cancer

The latest GP bulletin issued by the Department of Health mentions that a new campaign has been launched to remind patients they do not need to bother their GPs to countersign passport applications or issue certificates for short-term sick leave.

While this initiative is not unwelcome, I cannot help thinking the department would do better to educate PCOs about not inflicting unnecessary paperwork on GPs and their staff.
