Shortsighted to get rid of partnerships

Even if GPs are blocking partnerships on financial grounds (News, 10 October), it is a very short-term approach as it undervalues the vitality, potential and skills that a new partner can bring to a practice.

There is little incentive for a salaried GP to make this contribution.

I am concerned the dilution of partnerships will result in a sellout to private companies and the breakdown of a personal service that is highly valued by patients.
