Snub out-of-hours until disputes settle

We may feel we have a gun pointed at our heads (Comment, March 22) but let us not forget we still have control of an arsenal we could deliver up the Government's pompous rectum.

Any failure to sort out this complete and utter shambles to our total satisfaction and we need simply refuse to 'volunteer' for any out-of-hours duties.

We have tried being understanding and patient and in return have received only bullying and threats. I therefore call on all GPs to boycott committing to any out-of-hours shifts until all disputes have been resolved.

Do not go gentle into that good night, as Dylan Thomas once wrote.
