GPs wanting to develop new premises or extend their existing building will find the answers they need at a new Pulse seminar launched today.

A line-up of experts will lead GPs through the minefield of regulations, red tape and financial headaches that can dog even the smallest development projects.

Speakers, including Dr Peter Swinyard, former chair of the GPC premises subcommittee, and Liz Cracknell, a senior PCT executive, will offer an insight on current policy and explain how to win the battle for scarce funding.

Specialists in general practice finance, accountancy and law will present practical advice about the nitty gritty of building projects and be on hand to answer questions.

Other speakers include solicitor Daphne Robertson, accountant Mike Gilbert and Suzanne Joyce, an independent consultant on premises development.
