Spot the resemblance

May I suggest the following enlightening activity? Take one of Prime Minister Tony Blair's speeches about Iraq, then go through it and replace all references to Saddam with Blair; to the UN with the GPC; and to weapons of mass destruction with the new contract. It will make at least as much sense.

Right up to and even beyond the last moment, Number 10 has been stalling and interfering. The Government has refused to budge on most, if not all, of the major issues.

Much as I hate the idea of a nasty industrial dispute, I cannot help thinking that it would be better sooner than later. The longer the current crisis in medical recruitment lasts, the deeper it will get and the harder it will be to resolve.
