Taped GP consultations may be 'useful tool'

GPs in Scotland will have to wait until December at the earliest before they can calculate their quality scores by computer. Practices face a delay getting the quality management and analysis system (QMAS) because it is not compatible with the widely used GPASS software. Lothian LMC secretary Dr Dean Marshall said: 'It's throwing up wrong information at the moment so until it can be sorted out Scottish GPs will be disadvantaged.'
