This just won't work

Dr Steve Edmunds believes the new reports use QOF data in ways it was never intended for and will fail to accurately reflect the quality of GP care.

Dr Edmunds, who is chair of Shropshire LMC in an area covered by the reports, said: 'It's difficult to make judgments as some of the highest prescribers have the most difficult patients.'

Dr Edmunds, a GP in Pontesbury, added: 'It's not what the QOF was designed to do and I have reservations about it being used for this.'
