This two-tier profession won't last

Dr Yealand Kalfayan's letter is interesting, but the sad fact is that it is the GP partners who are increasingly offering lower pay for more work ('Only a cap on salaried GPs will save profession').

Only greed motivates this. Newly qualified GPs have to accept this situation for now, but it won't last.

If I wanted to earn £60,000 for working full-time following orders, I'd have stuck with a hospital career. This will eventually put off candidates from joining general practice. Who will partners employ then?
