Threat to ethnic minorities

From Dr Hari Nawal, Bedford

Complaints and disciplinary action against ethnic minority doctors will inevitably rise under the Government's new agenda.

PCTs have been empowered to impose threats, withhold or stop payments and even terminate contracts if these practices fail to achieve quality targets.

Sooner or later, ethnic minority practices will cease to survive.

This will leave ethnic patients at the mercy of those who do not understand their real needs.
