Thumbs up for benefits help in practices

Primary care investment firm the Medical Property Fund has announced a further £65 million investment in primary care premises.

It has now invested a total of £240 million, including a £47 million deal to buy 12 health centres and practices from Apollo Medical Partners. The firm is on course to invest a further £160 million by the end of next year.

A spokesman for the firm said: 'As GPs find it increasingly difficult to get funding from PCTs they are looking for alternatives.'
