Tony Blair is full of patronising rubbish

Four years ago the Government set itself the target of recruiting an extra 2,000 GPs by 2004. This paltry figure remember was set against the RCGP and BMA's assertion that the country needed a minimum of an extra 10,000.

The Government has failed dismally to hit even its own miserable target but persists in boasting to the taxpayer about how well it's doing in recruiting new doctors. John Reid shamelessly hails the latest figures as a 'record'.

So when you ask 'What do you think of Tony Blair's comments?' following hismessage to GPs (News, March 29) my response would have to be that I think it's a pack of patronising bullshit. If I ever read it I'll let you know if I was right.
