Crackdown on migrants is overdue

I would support a system to identify people who are not entitled to free NHS treatment at the point of entry into the UK and charge them (GPs to charge migrants for all routine and emergency care unless they pay NHS “levy”).

My practice registers a large number of overseas visitors, their families and dependants, usually on student or visitor visas.

Many consult frequently because the NHS is free to them. I am regularly asked to treat wrinkles, minor skin blemishes, split ends, minor viral illness and more.

The NHS cannot sustain this type of demand.
