Our surgery's action plan for coronavirus - in full

The Maltings Surgery in St Albans has created its own action plan for coronavirus (Covid-19)

One practice in St Albans, Hertfordshire, has set up its own guidance to deal with coronavirus. Dr Mike Smith, GP partner at The Maltings Surgery in St Albans, has given permission to Pulse to publish this in full.

The action plan has identified the main areas that need addressing within the practice:

  • Containment of areas within the practice
  • Minimise footfall
  • Protect Staff
  • Staff Morale
  • Patient and Stakeholder Comms
  • Business Continuity

  • this would be great, if we didnt only have 1 waiting room and all consulting rooms and admin rooms open to same corridor with 1 toilet

  • This really was an important footprint to tweak our current covid plan around - can't thank you enough. It meant our staff and patients had a fighting chance this week.
    Practice business continuity plans are key but will never cover this level of national crisis.
    Please chase up your CCGs for more support and guidance of what they, your PCNs and you could be doing together....
