50. Dr Clare Taylor

Dr Clare Taylor comes in at number 50 in the 2013 Pulse Power 50. She is a new entry in the list.

 

Dr Clare Taylor is a leading academic GP at the age of just 34. She works at an inner-city practice in Edgbaston and is a research fellow at the University of Birmingham, specialising in cardiovascular disease.

Dr Taylor is also First5 clinical lead at the RCGP and deputy editor of the primary care education journal InnovAiT.

She has a masters degree in public health from the University of Birmingham 2010. She has published papers on heart failure and atrial fibrillation and edited a textbook of Cardiovascular Disease in Primary Care. She is a module lead for the Masters in Primary Care and is a tutor and senior examiner for students at Birmingham medical school. She also has an interest in the education of GPs at the start of their careers.
