At the heart of general practice since 1960

We ginger-haired leftie GPs are not all that bad!

You quote Dr Peter Holden saying: 'I am not having some faceless PCT representative telling me to work with a left-handed, ginger-haired person from the Isle of Wight.'

I am surprised Dr Holden expressed this view and that you displayed it prominently on your front page.

Perhaps his attitude shows the need for PCT members to be involved in interviews and selection to avoid this kind of discrimination. I am sure no harm was meant, but remarks like this should be made with great care so that minorities of any sort are not subject to prejudice.

There are already cases where industrial tribunals have been involved in discrimination with respect to red hair, and bullying can take place at school on a similar basis.
