We're set to lose £6,000 and we voted for this!

We have been working through the figures in the global sum relating to payment for cervical cytology and were quite surprised to find we will lose some £6,000 compared with last year even if we were to achieve full quality points.

This seems to be as a result of halving last year's income from cervical cytology, with the rest of the money to be made from the quality points.

However, the maximum quality points from that domain are

only 20, which equates to about £1,500, plus any list size adjustments.

There seems to be nothing that can be done about this as it was what we agreed to!
