What about when we call patients' mobiles?

Regarding the Essex practices that have introduced new phone charges for patients, why are PCTs always against GPs? Have they ever said anything about when patients ask us to call them on their mobiles?

That is much more expensive to the practice than calling an 0870 number. When PCTs or the Department of Health make new policies italways seems to be against GPs.

Unfortunately the GPC and other GP representative bodies have no spine to protect the profession.
