What are the pros and cons of making our locum insurance a practice rather than a personal expense?

We have always had individual locum insurance but it's getting very expensive. We are wondering whether to switch to a joint policy as this could work out cheaper overall. We're all full-time, our ages span three decades, one of us has an arthritic hip and another has hypertension, so our premiums and cover exclusions vary. What are the pros and cons of making it a practice as opposed to a personal expense? And how can we make it fair to all concerned? Do we need to change our practice agreement?
