Why I support Pulse's campaign on NHS IT

Choose and Book has, to date, proved utterly hopeless. Slow, prone to crashes or problems with smartcards, and even when one does finally manage to get on it the problems are only just beginning.

Meaningful information is sparse. And how many bewildered and frustrated patients have struggled and sometimes failed ever to get through the appointments booking process?

It needs scrapping or completely rethinking.

Dr Phil Whitaker, Radstock, Avon

Money, time and resources have been wasted on Choose and Book. It's not even liked by the patients who can't get through, and you can't refer to a named doctor.

It is also very dangerous that consent is not obtained for the NHS Care Record. Vunerable people are most at risk.

Would all the politicians who support this please publicly declare that they have signed up for their records to be treated in this sloppy way!
