Why it's vital to keep ownership of our computers

I write with a stark warning about the foolishness of allowing the ownership of our computers to be taken from us. The information contained there is our most potent bargaining tool in negotiations for a reasonable contract.

The Government have obviously realised this and tried to take it away from us under the guise of taking over the costs.

They know that once they own the information on our computers there is little we can use against them if we don't like the way geneal practice is developing.

'Information is power' and those who control it (us at present) have the ultimate control.

If we give it away we have little left to negotiate with, except to threaten mass resignation, which everyone knows will never happen as too many GPs cannot afford to resign.

So, think very carefully before giving up this vitally important pawn in the long run it may safeguard our futures.
