Will maternity claims be different?

On March 31 what will happen to outstanding maternity care? Will we need to claim by then for care given, will the contract with the patient run until the postnatal exam, or will no claim be accepted for partial care?

All care provided until March 31 can be claimed for under the Red Book to that point in the pregnancy.

The mechanism is the same as it would have been if the patient had changed practices, or left the area, or had an early delivery or any other reason for stopping the need for antenatal care.

Thereafter, all maternity payments should be accounted for in the global sum except intrapartum care which is an enhanced service.
