PushDoctor believes video consultations will become part of every GPs’ daily surgery

PushDoctor is a Care Quality Commission-regulated service which compliments existing primary care services, providing patients with even more choice, which we acknowledge is an important aspect of modern healthcare.

The NHS and other major healthcare providers already use telephone and video consultations – including PushDoctor – to help address patients’ health concerns. When a patient does require a physical examination they will be referred to their regular GP or sign-posted to another appropriate service – in the same way they will be when they undertake telephone appointments.

We believe video consultations will continue to grow and become an even more practical and engaging part of primary care provision in both the public and private provider sectors. And interestingly a number of the Prime Minister’s Challenge Fund programmes have sought to and have been awarded funding to pilot and deliver innovative remote care solutions – including both remote health monitoring and video-consulting tools.

There are a number of patient groups, such as young men, who can be reluctant to visit a GP but who have engaged with the convenience and accessibility of services ours, and so digital health solutions are helping healthcare to reach different parts of society more effectively.
