Dr Sam Everington is a former deputy chair of the BMA and a GP at the pioneering Bromley by Bow health centre, which combines medical practice with art classes, gardening and complementary therapies.
Dr Everington’s passion for addressing health inequalities is well known, and was the theme of his recent guest editor issue of Pulse. It also earned him praise at the Conservatives’ spring conference from shadow health secretary Andrew Lansley.
