Despite relinquishing her role heading up the LMCs' annual bunfight, Birmingham GP Dr Fay Wilson shows no signs of slipping in influence in the minds of our panel.

She suffered disappointment earlier this year when BADGER, the out-of-hours consortium of which she is medical director, lost several key contracts after being undercut by a private company.
But Dr Wilson continues to command huge respect from across the profession, and holds prominent roles on both the BMA and GPC councils.
