Professor Mike Pringle is the RCGP's clinical lead for revalidation and played a key role in developing its CPD credits system.

A former RCGP chair and Pulse guest editor, he has had a break from the limelight so far this year while the scheme undergoes piloting.
Expect that to change soon though – and Professor Pringle's affable and open approach will be key to selling the scheme to the profession.
Professor Pringle is also strategic director of PRIMIS+, a provider of software offering training in clinical computer systems. He recently ceased to be a partner at his rural Nottinghamshire practice and is instead helping to run the Collingham Healthcare Education Centre.
