29 March: Health and Social Care Conference 2012

Thursday 29th March 2012 One Whitehall Place, London

Government Knowledge would like to invite you to join us at our second annual Health and Social Care Conference in March, 2012.

The conference will look at the government's plans to move towards a clinically led NHS - to increase fiscal efficiency and improve patient choice and experience - as well as how to effectively manage the shift towards caring for those with long term health problems in our increasingly ageing population. Further sessions will look at how care services can best prepare for the reforms proposed in the on-going Health and Social Care Bill as well as provide better services despite the looming spectre of £20 billion in health care funding cuts.

Delegates to the conference will be able to engage with top policymakers and stakeholders from across the health and social care sectors during a day of speeches, presentations, question and answer sessions, case studies and workshops.

Our expert speakers will share their knowledge of new ideas and best practices, helping you leave the event with a better understanding of how to improve your department or organisation's practices and procedures, better prepare for the implementation of new policies and successfully deliver front-line services even whilst cutting budgets and facing increasing demand.

Our chair for this conference will be Gillian Merron, Former Minister for Public Health

Other keynote presentations from confirmed speakers:

Professor Steve Field CBE, Chair, NHS Future Forum Dr Clare Gerada, Chair, Royal College of General Practitioners Anne Milton MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Public Health Professor David Oliver, National Clinical Director for Older People, Department for Health Cynthia Bower, Chief Executive, Care Quality Commission Katherine Murphy, Chief Executive, Patients Association Michael Bell, Vice Chair of NHS London
