35 – Dr Sam Everington

Dr Sam Everington manages to juggle prominence in the world of medical politics with innovative holistic healthcare at his surgery, the Bromley by Bow centre in east London.

Formerly deputy chair of the BMA, Dr Everington is a member of both the BMA and GMC councils.

He served as an access adviser to the previous Labour government but has also backed Conservative health policies, sharing a platform with Mr Lansley at last year's Tory spring conference.
