  • They clearly cannot be serious about eradicating or controlling measles in England

  • Can anyone explain why I have been asked to sign an enhanced services agreement for the catch up camapign if the reason stated above for only getting £1.50 for the under 16s is that it forms part of additional services. For £1.50 minus postage we will not be signing up, goodwill has been all but used up by Mr Hunt and his recent utterances.

  • We will sign up to show willing but we will not be searching for patients or mailing them as at £1:50 we will lose money if we send a letter.
    Those that ask will get.
We might contact the > 16s as the payment here is more realistic.

  • In Wales we have been TOLD we have to provide vaccination preferabley the same day or the next day for all who are eligible and ask for it. How can our nursing team possibly manage this. Totally unrealistic. It will mean cancelling patients who have waited and booked a nurse appointment in advance to give appointments to those who themselves or their parents have previously refused/declined this immunisation.

  • A complete joke of an enhanced service! The DOH and ministers want to be seen to be doing something so this has been offered. They really are not serious about the proposed catchup campaign. For the GPC to endorse this shows they have completely lost the plot! I for one will not be signing up. I Will provide mmr to children on request from parents and to women of childbearing age seronegative for rubella as I'm required to under the additional services contract but will not be proactively seeking punters.
