Dr Mike Scott: 'It would take a lot for the Tories to win me round'

I have yet to decide who will be the lucky recipient of my vote.

I worked in the North-East in the Margaret Thatcher era when Ken Clarke told us not to reach for our wallets and then sold tobacco.

I would need to hear a lot from the Tories to win me round – and ‘sorry' does indeed seem to be the hardest word.

Well done to Labour for the cash that has arrived in the NHS – but points off for spending most of it on IT and bureaucracy, which seems to exist solely to ruin my working life.

I'd like to discover what the Lib Dems are suggesting as so far I have no idea.

Dr Mike Scott is a GP partner in Newburn, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
