Clinical chair for NHS High Weald Lewes Havens CCG, Dr Elizabeth Gill caused a stir this year when the CCG reviewed all patients on pregabalin, switched those with neuropathic pain to Lyrica and then presented the bill for the extra work to NHS England.
The East Sussex GP partner has been praised for building a strong connection with her CCG membership.
Dr Gill has also spearheaded the development of a new care pathway for dementia and implemented changes to community services, in response to patient, public and GP concerns.
